The striking Höllenstein, which rises on the left side of the Tuxer valley at Juns, has a summit cross, but there is no marked hiking trail to the summit. But it is an even more recommendable family hike directly below the mighty Höllensteinenstein from the Höllensteinhütte to the Grieralm. In winter, the two huts invite you to a hearty tobogganing tour.

Ascent: From Lanersbach we first follow the forest road for a while, soon a beautiful old mule track crosses the path and winds its way up through the forest until the view becomes clear and the Junsberg, Madseitberg and Grübelspitze greet us. The tour to the Höllensteinhütte (1740 m) takes about 1 ½ hours. Now we continue through the forest, up to the Tapeneck. From a distance the Grier lacquers are already glittering. In front of the Grieralm a well developed path leads over the Tulferalm down to Madseit.
