Summer holidays in Tux
HOLIDAYS ARE A TIME TO TRAVEL!
But sometimes the best is not that far away: Tyrol and the Zillertal offer both entertainment and relaxation, making it an ideal destination for everyone.
Tux in the Zillertal is, of course, a cut above the rest. Whether hiking tours, biking, climbing or more offbeat activities on the water and in the air, whether alone, as a couple or with friends – here there really is something for every holidaymaker. The ZillertalAktivcard, which is a ticket, entry and discount card for a variety of attractions and the Zillertal cable cars, is especially practical. Because one thing is for sure: Summer holidays in Tux really have a lot to offer!
The Tux high valley is ideal for hiking tours through the majestic landscape. The Aparthotel Dorfplatzl is an ideal starting point to head off on a variety of routes. Scenic paths, great mountain lakes, breath-taking views: Even if you set off on your own, there is plenty to discover! Our guided tours with the host of the Dorfplatzl, Oswald Gredler, are also an unmissable experience. Once a week he takes guests on a hike to learn more about the natural paradise of Tux an der Ziller, fills them in on the flora and fauna and lets them in on the region’s best-kept secrets.
Crazy about sports? Then you would be mad not to come to Tux. The environment seems to have been made especially for mountain bikers. Challenging climbs alternate with easier rides where you can not only get your fill of exercise, but also take in the view of the mountains that rise up in front of your eyes. The myriad of trails with different difficulty levels makes mountain biking as attractive for beginners and amateurs as for experienced riders. Mountain bikes and bicycles can of course be rented on site and e-bikes are also available for beginners and aficionados.
Sports enthusiasts will find the ideal pastime on the rock face. Once a week, Dorfplatzl host Oswald Gredler offers guided tours through the mountains. In Tux‘ surroundings there are also several walkways which offer a tireless variety of excursions.
High ropes course
A pure adrenaline rush for children and adults: 32 exercises of varying difficulty, three zip lines with a length over 100 meters and a plunging view of 88 meters make the climbing park the highest ropes course in the Zillertal.
For a more sedate pastime, Zillertal Golf Club is the place to be. The 18-hole championship course, the generous practice facilities and a total of 35 tees will make the heart of every golfer beat faster.
Up, up and away: Far above the Tux mountains, spectacular views await you as you fly through the air with a paraglider. Again, you are safe in the hands of a professional who will make gliding over the mountains an unforgettable experience.
